Football Recap: Woodstock Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Woodstock strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 27-20 win over the Harvard Hornets. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Streaks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Woodstock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Thompson, who threw for 145 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. The Blue Streaks' leading receiver Matthew Cress was Thompson's top target yet again, picking up 45 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Woodstock's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Harvard, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Woodstock is set to square off against their familiar foe Marengo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Harvard will challenge rival Richmond-Burton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
