Softball Recap: Schurz Comes Up Short

If Schurz was feeling good fresh off their 31-16 takedown of Disney II last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Intrinsic Mustangs on Monday, falling 21-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 20-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lashala Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Hailey Wiley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Schurz dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Intrinsic, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

While Schurz had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
