Preview: Ridgeway Roadrunners vs. Memphis Home Education Association
After both having extra time off, the Ridgeway Roadrunners and Memphis Home Education Association will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Ridgeway will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Even though Kirby scored an imposing 67 points last Friday, Ridgeway still came out on top. Ridgeway took their game against Kirby 76-67. Given Ridgeway's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Kirby is ranked 197th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Emanuel Allen, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Thornton, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Memphis Home Education Association suffered their closest defeat yet this season last Thursday. They fell just short of Fayette Ware by a score of 50-47.
Ridgeway pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Memphis Home Education Association, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
