Soccer Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport was the 3-1 winner over Byron when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pretzels took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Monday.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Byron, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0-2.

Coming up, Freeport will challenge Harlem at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byron, they will face off against Rockford Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Byron's defense better be ready for this one: Rockford Christian have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
