Softball Game Preview: Cleveland Rams vs. Clayton Comets

For the second straight game, Cleveland will face off against Clayton. The Rams will take on the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cleveland has seven straight victories, Clayton has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Cleveland's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Clayton. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Karsyn Hudacky made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Morgan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gracie Ritchie, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
