Basketball Recap: Hylton Comes Up Short

Hylton lost against Forest Park back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hylton Bulldogs were dealt a 90-33 loss at the hands of the Forest Park Bruins. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Bruins are ranked 65th).

Hylton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Amari Butler, who posted nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elisha Asante, who earned nine points.

Hylton dropped their record down to 3-18 with the defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Forest Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Hylton will take on Charles J. Colgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charles J. Colgan will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Hylton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Forest Park, they will challenge Woodbridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
