Basketball Recap: Central Christian Takes a Loss

Central Christian and Mogadore squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Central Christian had to settle for second. The match between them and the Mogadore Wildcats didn't end well, with the Central Christian Comets falling 48-32. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Wildcats are ranked 190th).

Amelia Morris continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mogadore, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds. That's the most boards Morris has posted since back in February of 2024. Rylee Clark also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Central Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Mogadore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Central Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mogadore, they will face off against Maplewood at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Maplewood comes in on six and Mogadore on three.
