Soccer Recap: Eastmark Comes Up Short

After flying high against Maricopa last Friday, Eastmark came back down to earth. The Eastmark Firebirds fell just short of the Canyon View Jaguars by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Firebirds couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Liberty Baker, who's now up to four this season.

Eastmark's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Canyon View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-0-1.

Eastmark will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saguaro at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. After both having extra time off, Canyon View and Metro Tech will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
