Soccer Game Preview: Eagle River vs. Dimond

Eagle River is 0-10 against Dimond since April of 2017 but things could change on Monday. Wolves will be playing at home against the Lynx at 5:30 p.m.

Eagle River is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Wasilla, who was ranked fourth at the time (Eagle River was ranked 15th). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for Eagle River as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Kelsey Momblow, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Dimond sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over West Anchorage on Saturday.

Dimond's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. With that draw, Eagle River's record moves to 2-6-1.

Eagle River suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Dimond when the teams last played back in April. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wolves were down 4-0.
