Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sundevils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Charleston Collegiate to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evie Baslow, who had 13 kills, five digs, and five aces. Baslow has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last seven times she's played. Vika Vuyiv was another key player, getting 18 assists and four aces.

Hilton Head Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Charleston Collegiate, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilton Head Prep will head out to challenge Veritas Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charleston Collegiate, they will venture away from home to square off against Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
