Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Akron). They were the clear victor by a 62-42 margin over the Burlington Cougars on Friday. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Akron had a senior duo take command as Anderson Filla went 9 for 19 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and four steals and Caleb Poss almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Filla. Terran Couch also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Akron smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.
