Football Recap: Mcnair Comes Up Short on the Road Against Temple + How To Watch

McNair kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Temple Tigers and fell 69-40. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.

Keyuntae Phillips threw for 375 yards and four TDs while picking up 14.4 yards per attempt. Rashad Blalock was his top target, picking up 233 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Temple got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaiden McDaniel out in front who rushed for 112 yards and three scores on only five carries, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and one touchdown. McDaniel's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Serjoe Jones was another key back, rushing for 150 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries.

McNair didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-8 loss against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate on the 22nd. As for Temple, they have also already played their next contest, a 63-6 win against Clarkston on the 22nd.
