You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Ledyard's strategy against East Lyme on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Colonels blew the Vikings out of the water with a 46-7 final score. The result was nothing new for the Colonels, who have now won four contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Jackson Favry had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 252 yards and three scores while picking up 14.0 yards per carry. Those 252 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jackson Grimm was another major influence, as he rushed for 78 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ledyard was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 358 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Ledyard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games. As for East Lyme, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Ledyard is taking a road trip to take on Woodstock Academy at 12:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for East Lyme, they will look to defend their home field on the 7th against Stratford at 6:30 p.m.
