Softball Recap: Orange Takes a Loss

Orange lost against Cedar Ridge back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Fighting Red Wolves by a score of 5-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orange saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Carden, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Molly Kate Ollis also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cedar Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Orange is set to face off against their familiar foe Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge will square off against rival Williams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
