Rim of the World put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past the San Gorgonio Spartans to the tune of 35-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Fighting Scots' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Spartans are ranked 921st).

One reason for the win was Rim of the World's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Gunner Haggard, Joey Lopez, and Tanner McClellan, who each picked up one sack apiece. Rim of the World received some extra help from Michael Pasquarella, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Rim of the World's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for San Gorgonio, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
