Basketball Recap: South Park Takes a Loss

South Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 50-33 to the Clear Creek Golddiggers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Burros of the 52-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clear Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan Miller, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Miller a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Huff, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

South Park's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Clear Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

South Park will head out to take on Cripple Creek-Victor at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clear Creek, they will welcome Union Colony Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
