Soccer Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Spring Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Gilbert Indians by a score of 2-1.

Spring Valley's goal came courtesy of Greta Clutts, who's now up to two this season.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Gilbert, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Spring Valley will be playing at home against Blythewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Blythewood's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Spring Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Gilbert, they will venture away from home to challenge Midland Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gilbert is facing Midland Valley at the right time seeing as Midland Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
