Pocono Mountain West extends home winning streak to nine

Recap: Pocono Mountain West Panthers vs. East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers

There's no place like home for the Pocono Mountain West Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-40 win over East Stroudsburg South on Monday. Given Pocono Mountain West's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while East Stroudsburg South is ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, East Stroudsburg South still got an impressive performance from Jaen Chatman, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 52.5% of East Stroudsburg South's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mareek Williams, who scored four points.

Pocono Mountain West pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for East Stroudsburg South, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Pocono Mountain West will head out on the road to square off against East Stroudsburg North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Stroudsburg South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stroudsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
