Volleyball Recap: Meridian Bobcats vs. Century Centurions
Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Century Centurions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The final score came out to 25-21, 26-24.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Century to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Anderson, who had five digs and three aces. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had four or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Hannah Sauerbrunn was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.
Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Century, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meridian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cobden at 6:00 p.m. As for Century, they will head out to take on Agape Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
