Baseball Game Preview: Fairview Yellowjackets vs. Battle Ground Academy Wildcats

The Fairview Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairview is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Fairview's victory against Culleoka wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Fairview came out on top in a nail-biter against Culleoka on Friday, sneaking past 3-1.

Fairview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cutler Coleman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Battle Ground Academy came up short against The Webb School on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Battle Ground Academy, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Fairview might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Battle Ground Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2018. Can Fairview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
