Recap: D'Iberville Warriors vs. Biloxi Indians
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchups, The D'Iberville Warriors finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 35-0 loss at the hands of Biloxi. D'Iberville lost against Biloxi in their previous head to head back in September of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 34-27 score last time.
Corbin Smith threw for 62 yards on four of eight attempts. Kevin Rogers ii was his top target, gaining 122 total yards.
Biloxi was led to victory by Jaylan Johnson and Zachary Marlin. Johnson gained 91 total yards and two touchdowns, while Marlin threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns. Jaquan Thompson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
D'Iberville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Biloxi, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
D'Iberville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Biloxi will head out on the road to face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Oak Grove presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Biloxi in Mississippi (Oak Grove is ranked first, while Biloxi is ranked 50th).
