Basketball Recap: Worthington Comes Up Short

Worthington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 63-39 to the Marshall Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-37 back in December of 2024.

Worthington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Marshall, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

When Worthington and Marshall next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Worthington will try to stop Waseca's 19-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Marshall will challenge Belle Plaine and their nine-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
