Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteford). They blew past the Central Academy Falcons 65-8 on Monday. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Falcons are ranked 607th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Whiteford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Central Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Whiteford will venture away from home to square off against Britton Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Academy, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons face off against the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Academy is facing Old Redford Academy at the right time seeing as Old Redford Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
