After a string of four wins, Belton's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a 60-24 loss at the hands of the Park Hill South Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Panthers are ranked second).

Belton's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Park Hill South, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton will head out to take on Fort Osage at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. As for Park Hill South, they will face off against North Kansas City at 5:30 p.m. on February 11th.
