Soccer Recap: Cheraw Comes Up Short

Cheraw lost against Buford back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cheraw Braves fell just short of the Buford Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by just one goal.

Gabe Caston wasn't going to let Buford walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cheraw's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Cheraw is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. As for Buford, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Cheraw will face off against North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cheraw's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Buford, they will challenge Andrew Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andrew Jackson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Buford surely won't give up without a fight.
