Softball Recap: Pearsall Takes a Loss

Pearsall fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Laredo LBJ on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Laredo LBJ Wolves, falling 16-4. The Mavericks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Alayna Zapata was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing one base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Nayelli DelToro, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Pearsall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pearsall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 defeat against United South on the 4th. Laredo LBJ has also already played their next contest (against Cotulla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
