Basketball Preview: Kankakee Trinity Academy vs. Grant Park Dragons
Having just played yesterday, Kankakee Trinity Academy will get right back to it and host the Grant Park Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Kankakee Trinity Academy will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
On Monday, Kankakee Trinity Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over the Screaming Eagles, taking the game 54-41.
Luke Green was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five assists. Cam Testa was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Grant Park had to suffer through a rough 62-32 loss at the hands of the Blue Devils.
Blake Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 15 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Ryder Greenholdt, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Kankakee Trinity Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Grant Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
Tuesday's contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Kankakee Trinity Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Grant Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
