Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Ryken Knights vs. Bishop McNamara Mustangs

St. Mary's Ryken hasn't had much luck against Bishop McNamara recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The St. Mary's Ryken Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Bishop McNamara Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

St. Mary's Ryken took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 61-50 win over St. Mary's.

Meanwhile, Bishop McNamara waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They breezed by the Jaguars to the tune of 77-37. That looming 77-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

St. Mary's Ryken's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Bishop McNamara, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

St. Mary's Ryken couldn't quite finish off Bishop McNamara when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 65-62. Can St. Mary's Ryken avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
