Baseball Game Preview: Snake River Panthers vs. American Falls Beavers

For the first time this season, Snake River will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to challenge the American Falls Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Snake River has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 22.

Last Tuesday, Snake River didn't have quite enough to beat Preston and fell 10-9.

Coy Fisher and Jackson Jorgensen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fisher scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Jorgensen scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ridj Allen, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, American Falls lost 11-1 to Bear Lake on Wednesday.

American Falls has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Snake River, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Everything went Snake River's way against American Falls in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Snake River made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
