Baseball Recap: South Pointe Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for South Pointe's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Northwestern Trojans on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Stallions in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

South Pointe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Hood, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

South Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Northwestern, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

While South Pointe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
