Softball Recap: Westmont Warriors vs. Notre Dame Regents

Westmont's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Notre Dame Regents 14-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the match before.

Maddie Tanaka and Lily Ortiz did most of the damage at the plate: Tanaka scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1, while Ortiz scored two runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, Ortiz posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Corbett, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Westmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Notre Dame only posted an OBP of .400.
