Basketball Recap: Daisy Williamson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Wolfson

Sandalwood won the last time they faced Wolfson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Sandalwood Saints walked away with a 42-35 win over the Wolfson Wolfpack. The victory was some much needed relief for the Saints as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Sandalwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daisy Williamson, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jahkyra Rodman, who earned ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Wolfson lost, don't look at Hannah Timmerman. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. Persephone Colon was another key player, putting up eight points.

Sandalwood's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Wolfson, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Sandalwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-29 loss against Fletcher on the 31st. As for Wolfson, they will face off against Fernandina Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
