Volleyball Recap: Zanesville Takes a Loss

Zanesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Tri-Valley Scotties. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Scotties from their previous meeting back in August of 2020.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-16, 25-10.

Madison Mcbrayer paced Zanesville's offense, picking up two kills. Mcbrayer got some help from Abigail Ormond and her two assists. Maliyah Curtis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Zanesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tri-Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Zanesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Licking Heights on the 26th. As for Tri-Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Sheridan on the 26th.
