Volleyball Recap: Santa Margarita Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Santa Margarita took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Servite, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Friars 3-2 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Friars two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Santa Margarita wouldn't go down easily and took Servite into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 23-25, 15-13.

The victory (which was Santa Margarita's fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-8. As for Servite, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-18 record this season.

Santa Margarita will square off against St. Margaret's at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Servite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
