Soccer Recap: Alexander Comes Up Short

Alexander entered their contest against Eagle Pass on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Alexander Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagle Pass Eagles by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bulldogs haven't been shut out since back in January.

Alexander's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Eagle Pass, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Coming up, Alexander and Laredo LBJ will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Alexander's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Eagle Pass, they will welcome United at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
