Baseball Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Carson Colts will face off against the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Carson's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Roosevelt has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Carson and San Pedro, and Carson kept the tradition alive. The Colts' pitcher stepped up to hand the Pirates a 4-0 shutout on Wednesday.

The result came thanks to Joziah Agredano's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Carson is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 7-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Carson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Allen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Allen has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt came up short against South East on Thursday and fell 6-2.

Carson's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Everything went Carson's way against Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Carson made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Rough Riders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
