Basketball Recap: Woodlawn Falls Short of Edwards County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodlawn can now relate to. They lost 53-32 to the Edwards County Lions on Thursday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Woodlawn lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sophia Skinner, who posted eight points and five boards. Rylie Hockett was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Woodlawn's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Edwards County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

As of now, neither Woodlawn nor Edwards County have any future games scheduled.
