Soccer Game Preview: Hanford vs. Walla Walla

Hanford is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Walla Walla a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Hanford Falcons will welcome the Walla Walla Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Hanford's last seven matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Hanford is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Kennewick on Friday. The Falcons fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Hanford have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Walla Walla had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Blue Devils who were credited with the victory on Tuesday. Walla Walla got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Kennewick's one. The win was all the more spectacular given Walla Walla's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Kennewick are ranked 65th).

Hanford's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Walla Walla, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.
