Softball Preview: Todd County Central Rebels vs. Franklin-Simpson Wildcats

Todd County Central is 0-10 against Franklin-Simpson since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Todd County Central Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Todd County Central will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Todd County Central is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Tuesday, just like they did against University Heights (and have done all season long). Todd County Central blew past University Heights 17-1.

Addison Woodall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Woodall was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Todd County Central let Jocelyn Mock and Averie Luckenbill loose on the outfield. Mock scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Luckenbill scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Gracee Miller was another key contributor, going 1-for-1 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Barren County. They lost 11-1 to the Trojans on Thursday. Franklin-Simpson has not had much luck with Barren County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Kloie Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Todd County Central's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Franklin-Simpson, their loss dropped their record down to 16-12.
