Basketball Recap: Archbishop Alter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bishop Fenwick on Friday, Archbishop Alter came back down to earth. The Knights fell 110-102 to the Maysville Panthers on Sunday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (66), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Kane Roehrig had a dynamite game For Maysville., shooting 69% from beyond the arc on his way to 46 points and six boards. Those 46 points gave Roehrig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Watson, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Archbishop Alter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Maysville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Archbishop Alter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-48 victory against Carroll on the 9th. As for Maysville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-57 win against John Glenn on the 9th.
