Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Woodmont hit Hillcrest with a five-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams lost 12-3 to the Wildcats. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Hillcrest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Gentzler, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Woodmont, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

Coincidentally, Hillcrest and Woodmont will both be playing Greenwood the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rams will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
