The biggest high school football game of the week went down in Indiana as No. 9 Center Grove (Greenwood) won its 23rd consecutive game with a 21-6 victory over Cathedral (Indianapolis). After trailing 6-0 at halftime the Trojans shutout the Irish 21-0 in the second half.

No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) cruised to a 56-3 win over Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) to improve to 6-0. The Monarchs have outscored their first six opponents 305-57 and up next is No. 8 Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) on Oct. 23 at Santa Ana Stadium.
The Friars improved to 8-0 with a 53-0 victory over JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano). They have outscored their first eight opponents 399-90 and have not trailed at any point this season.
No. 2 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) returned to action for the first time in three weeks and held on for a 24-14 win over St. Thomas More (Oakdale, Conn.) to improve to 6-0. Before tonight the closest game the Ascenders were in this season was a 52-21 win over Northwestern (Miami). Sophomore running back

No. 14 Centennial (Corona, Calif.) had to wait 195 days to get revenge on Norco after the Cougars snapped the Huskies 57-game league win streak last spring. Centennial rolled to a 48-24 win after a strong second half. Junior quarterback
