Basketball Recap: The Rock Has No Trouble Against IMG Academy Blue

It's playoff time, and The Rock had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the IMG Academy Blue Ascenders with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 55-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-44 back in January.

The Rock found their leader in sophomore Ruby Patterson, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Patterson's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Audrey Hubbard was another key player, going 6-for-14 en route to 13 points and four steals.

The Rock was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

The Rock's victory bumped their record up to 10-22. As for IMG Academy Blue, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

The Rock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-28 loss against Potter's House Christian on the 18th. IMG Academy Blue does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
