Basketball Recap: Southwestern Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salamanca, Southwestern was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Dunkirk Marauders by a score of 54-43. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 79-76 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Southwestern's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Dunkirk, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Southwestern will be playing at home against Olean at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dunkirk, they will take on Fredonia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dunkirk is facing Fredonia at the right time seeing as Fredonia is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
