Baseball Game Preview: Flowing Wells Caballeros vs. Cienega Bobcats

For the second straight game, Flowing Wells will face off against Cienega. The Caballeros will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Flowing Wells came up short against Cienega on Monday, falling 8-1. The Caballeros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Cienega's part, the team relied heavily on JAMES LINZMEYER, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those two triples gave LINZMEYER a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of ANDREW ROMO, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Cienega hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flowing Wells struck out 11 times.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Cienega, bringing their record up to 10-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Flowing Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1.
