Softball Recap: Arlington Has No Trouble Against Brewster

Arlington barely beat Brewster the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Admirals were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Bears on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 13, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Arlington let Sam Laffin and Ava Eraca run wild. Laffin went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Eraca went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The dominant performance also gave Laffin a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Julieanna Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Arlington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brewster only posted an OBP of .273.

Arlington now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Brewster, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Arlington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Mahopac on the 14th. As for Brewster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-6 defeat against Yorktown on the 14th.
