Basketball Recap: Galway Takes a Loss

Galway lost against Berne-Knox-Westerlo back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Galway Golden Eagles had to suffer through a 85-35 loss at the hands of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 29th).

Galway's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

The future could be bright for both Galway and Berne-Knox-Westerlo: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Galway will look to extend Northville's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Berne-Knox-Westerlo will try to hand Mayfield their eighth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
