Soccer Game Preview: Highlands Christian vs. Horeb Christian

Horeb Christian better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Highlands Christian really get things going. Highlands Christian never let Avant Garde Academy onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Avant Garde Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexis Pena, Benjamin Francis, and Hopeny Louis.

Meanwhile, Horeb Christian had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Cushman by a score of 2-0 on Friday.

Highlands Christian pushed their record up to 8-6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Horeb Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Highlands Christian took their victory against Horeb Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 8-1. In that game, Highlands Christian amassed a halftime lead of 4-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
