Baseball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the John Ehret Patriots, falling 12-2. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Kamron Shields made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Amyne Darensbourg, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-1.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for John Ehret, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Kennedy will look to defend their home field on Monday against West Jefferson at 3:30 p.m. As for John Ehret, they are taking a road trip to face off against Warren Easton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
