Baseball Game Preview: Conway Tigers vs. Carolina Forest Panthers

For the second straight game, Conway will face off against Carolina Forest. The Tigers will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Conway will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

If Conway beats Carolina Forest with five runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Tigers beat the Panthers on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4.

Kenley McCracken spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits.

At the plate, Conway's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carsten Huggins, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Carolina Forest has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Conway, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
